Farm Manager

This business is a multi-farm rotational grazing dairy. Your job will be a practical, hands-on management position responsible for 5-6 staff members, 1200 head milking stock, and 1500 acres. You will also be responsible for day to day operations and any issues that may arise. This also includes overseeing crop input and pasture management.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Carry out and manage day-to-day operation under the supervision of the General Manager• Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard• Training and supervision of labor• Understanding when maintenance and repairs are required and completion of these tasks or the arrangement of outside vendors to complete what we cannot ourselves• Maintaining the feed development program based on professional recommendations• Maintain healthy stock and security of the farm• Maintaining feed and supplies needed to carry out daily operations• Understanding of animal health and treatment of illnesses in dairy cattle• Weekly management meetingsCandidate Requirements:• Farm management experience on a large dairy farming operation required• Knowledge of farm equipment operations and maintenance required• Oversee various crop input and know fertilizer requirements preferred• Technical/practical dairy farming skills/qualification required• Fit, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual preferred• Must work well under pressure• Must have good organization and problem-solving skills• Must be able to manage people with civility to obtain objectives daily• Must be willing to learn and grow with the operation• Rotational grazing knowledge is a plus, but not required. We will happily teach the right person.Salary Package:This position includes a competitive salary, housing, medical/life insurance, and ½ a beef a year. Dairy Worker Full-Time
The primary duty of a dairy worker is to milk dairy cows so that they produce maximum quantities of milk. Outside duties include anything from fencing to minor repairs. The animals must be watched for signs of illness or problems. This job usually entails early work, then a long break after morning milking. Then back for afternoon milking. These hours will vary depending what the needs are on the farm. We are looking for good people with a great work ethic! No experience is necessary; however, you must have a great attitude and a willingness to learn. You must work well with livestock and other workers. Salary negotable depending on experience.
Dairy Worker Part-Time
This position is for an afternoon dairy worker. The duties include less farm work and more milking. You may be asked to do other duties around the farm as well. No experience is necessary; however, you must have a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
You must work well with livestock. This is usually an hourly/per milking paid position.

Dry Stock Worker

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Assist in day-to-day operation under the supervision of the Dry Stock ManagerCandidate Requirements:• Fit, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual preferred• Must work well under pressure• Must have good organization and problem-solving skills• Must be able to follow direction• Must be willing to learn and grow with the operation

Calf Rearer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Carry out and manage calf rearing from birth to 250 lbs• Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard• Tubing and tagging all newborns keeping records of all calves• Maintaining the feed consistently regardless of weather conditions• Maintain healthy calves and treat for illness when needed• Maintaining supplies needed to carry out daily operations• Understanding of animal health and treatment of illnesses in dairy calves
Candidate Requirements:• Fit, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual preferred• Must work well under pressure• Must have good organization and problem-solving skills• Calving knowledge a plus but will train the right person.
